India Just Ended Korea's 28-Year Archery Reign 🏹 | Historic Asian Games Gold 2026 | Women's Recurve

🏹 HISTORY IN NAGOYA! India's women's recurve archery team has won its FIRST-EVER Asian Games gold, beating archery superpower South Korea 5-3 in the final at the Aichi-Nagoya 2026 Asian Games. Korea hadn't lost this event since 1998: seven straight titles, a team led by the reigning world champion Kang Chae-young, alongside Lee Yunji and Oh Yejin. India's Ankita Bhakat, Kirti Sharma and 17-year-old Kumkum Mohod walked in as underdogs and walked out as Asian champions. In swirling wind, the first two sets ended level. India pulled ahead in the third when Korea's arrows started drifting, and in a tense fourth set, the Indian trio matched Korea's 54 to seal the gold.
