Rompopolo Theme (An Original Composition)

What a strange creature! The poor creature is the least hunted monster in the game, so I thought I'd give it a fanmade theme. Poisonous, oily, inflatable, bird-like swamp/basin denizen, I was trying to convey its quirky yet scary look into the music. The track starts with an aggressive ostinato pattern in the strings and explosive shots in the brass. "Wonky" and distorted bird sounds (made with woodwinds) flutter in both ears. The theme follows, rhythmically inspired by the name "Rom-po-po-lo" (you could say it with the basses). This motif resurges throughout, with pitch-shifted Persian instruments to mimic its nasal cry. The 12-tone row and dissonant chords make us momentarily lose sight of the home key, and add a sense of "descending into madness" as the poison sets in. Let me know what you think!
