DUST PRESSURE pushes North African rhythm and maqam-inspired melody through a raw underground rave system. Egyptian darbuka, riq, bendir and Sa’idi-inspired accents collide with Moroccan qraqeb, guembri-like low figures and interlocking hand percussion — all anchored by hard four-on-the-floor kicks, deep dub sub, rolling analog bass and stripped-back warehouse electronics. Rather than placing traditional instruments on top of electronic beats, DUST PRESSURE treats both sides as one rhythmic language. Maqam-inspired melodic fragments move in short hypnotic cells while percussion shifts around a continuous low-end groove. From the narrow pressure of Cairo-inspired passages to the metallic cross-rhythms of the Maghreb, the album gradually moves toward its heaviest point before dissolving into a darker dub-weighted final section.
