You're Looking at Alex Pereira All Wrong

Alex Pereira is still hot, and Chael Sonnen says he loves this side of him. Pereira came out and said the influencers and pundits, Daniel Cormier among them, got together and pushed Josh Hokit into a championship fight with Ciryl Gane, a rematch Pereira himself was very much pursuing, and he is not hiding how annoyed he is about it. Chael says that is pure competitor, and it reminds him of a fight that never happened in a cage: Khabib Nurmagomedov against Jon Jones, over the pound-for-pound list. Khabib retired in the cage, said he had done everything he set out to do except one thing, he had never been voted pound-for-pound number one, and he asked for it. The anonymous panel actually did it, moving Khabib to number one and dropping Jones down. Jones fired right back: you do not get to go in front of me because you asked for it, and other guys beat Justin Gaethje too without jumping the line. Chael also breaks down why a Gane rematch is a hard sell right away: Pereira is 0-1 at heavyweight, and the rematch would now be for the undisputed title, not the interim. Pereira has a built-in story with Hokit, needs Hokit to win, has covered both sides, and still has Sergei Pavlovich in front of him. If you are annoyed by Pereira complaining, Chael says you are seeing it wrong.
