TMA the sea plane compony fly's to 79 different islands/resorts in the Maldives. They are not normally effected by weather rain etc as they fly quite low bellow the cloud 1000-1500 feet. Do the pilots fly barefoot, yes the flight crew fly barefoot, ( watch the video of a transfer to a island including, two take offs and landings to see for yourself) They fly barefoot so they have full feel of the rudder pedals, most crew chose flip flops !
