Man Allegedly Drugged and Robbed on Bus to Soro; Family Blames Bus Staff

Biswaranjan Das from the Soro area of Balasore had boarded a bus from Bhubaneswar to Soro when an unidentified man befriended him and claimed to be a hotel employee from Digha. The man allegedly bought Amul Kool and sugar-free biscuits near Link Road and offered them to Biswaranjan. He reportedly lost consciousness near Manguli and was later dropped at Baripada instead of Soro. With the help of an auto-rickshaw driver, he reached a relative’s house and was taken to hospital. According to the complaint, ₹20,000–₹25,000, a mobile phone and a gold ring were allegedly looted from him.
