HUNTING HORRORS — The Formless Hunters From beyond the stars, where darkness has no name and nightmares cross the boundaries between worlds, the Hunting Horrors descend. Inspired by the cosmic nightmares of H. P. Lovecraft and the Dreamlands of *The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath*, this dark symphonic metal anthem follows the relentless pursuit of formless horrors through the endless night. They are shadows in the heavens, nameless terrors beyond mortal comprehension — creatures whose true nature remains hidden in the depths of the Mythos. As the Crawling Chaos whispers from beyond reality, the hunt begins. No fortress offers sanctuary. No distant star promises salvation. And no mortal can be certain that the darkness above is truly empty. *Listen closely. The sky may not be empty.* If you enjoy cosmic horror, dark fantasy, Lovecraftian creatures, and epic symphonic metal, subscribe to *Eldritch Anthems* and join the journey into the unknown. Beyond the stars… beyond the flame… something hunts without a name. HUNTING HORRORS — WHO ARE THEY? *Hunting Horrors* are mysterious, formless creatures mentioned by H. P. Lovecraft in *The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath*, written in 1926–1927 and published posthumously in 1943. Appearance in Lovecraft's Work The Hunting Horrors appear near the climax of *The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath*. During the pursuit of Randolph Carter, Nyarlathotep is accompanied by these horrors. When Carter escapes into a dazzling light, the creatures are burned to grey dust. Lovecraft does not provide a detailed physical description of them in the original story. Their familiar appearance as enormous, winged, serpentine monsters comes primarily from later Mythos literature, particularly August Derleth's The Lurker at the Threshold (1945). Connection to Nyarlathotep In Lovecraft's original account, the Hunting Horrors accompany Nyarlathotep, the Crawling Chaos. Later interpretations develop them into terrifying servants and hunters capable of pursuing victims through darkness and across cosmic distances. Their true nature, origin, and exact appearance remain uncertain in Lovecraft's text. Literary Source *Author:* H. P.
