Marcal Paper Mill 10+ Alarm Major Fire A Block Long Elmwood Park Fire Department

On January 30th 2019 around 17:15 the Elmwood Park Fire Department was dispatched to 35 Market st for a reported fire at Marcal. Upon arrival crews were met with heavy smoke and fire conditions and a second alarm was immediately struck. As companies began to set up heavy fire began to self vent through the roof. Crews initiated a defensive attack as the 3rd and 4th alarms were struck. Due to heavy winds and the contents of the buildings the fire quickly extended to the entire Marcal property on the side of the tracks which included the famous Marcal sign. Companies from across northern New Jersey responded to assist at the scene. Thank you very much for watching my video as every like, comment, and view are greatly appreciated.
