Earthen Vessels -Honor the Breath

Old Norse a nearly dead language, only a small number of words remain. I have written the lyrics incorporating the words from legitimate books and studies of this dialect. This musical piece will be used to study the language, and will be a guide to teach our 3 lady Shaman Drum band, for opening circles and ceremonies, and events. We hope you enjoy learning the language with us! Earthen Vessels - Pittsburgh [Intro] Before my breath and your breath, we were breath. Breath of the One. [Verse] All mind. The One’s breath. Different bodies. Different stories. Different times. Still, we breathe the same breath. The breath remembers. It is One. We are One. [Chant] Önd. Breath. Líf. Life. Saman öndum vér. Together we breathe. Önd. Breath. Líf. Life. Saman öndum vér. Together we breathe. [Instrumental: measured frame-drum circle, low hand-played toms and sparse rattles, gradually building] [Verse] All mind. The One’s breath. Different bodies. Different stories. Different times. Still, we breathe the same breath. The breath remembers. It is One. We are One. [Chant] Önd. Breath. Líf. Life. Saman öndum vér. Together we breathe. Önd. Breath. Líf. Life. Saman öndum vér. Together we breathe. [Instrumental: fuller communal drum circle, layered low tom pulse and sparse rattles] [Chant] Önd. Breath. Líf. Life. Saman öndum vér. Together we breathe. Önd. Breath. Líf. Life. Saman öndum vér. Together we breathe. [Outro] The day will come, when we give back what was given to us… Breath… We breathe out, and return as One.
