THE YOKOHAMA PARADE 2025 – Super Parade Part 1 of 2 | Japan

The Yokohama Parade, also known as the "International Costume Parade," is a long-standing annual event in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, that began in 1953. In 2025, it celebrated its 73rd edition and was held, as always, on May 3. The theme for 2025 was "Roses," the official flower of Yokohama, and participating groups were divided into four categories based on rose colors. That year, 63 groups with approximately 2,800 participants took part in the parade, which was held in two parts: the "Kids Parade" starting at 10:45 a.m. and the "Super Parade" starting at 11:15 a.m. in the second part, the Super Parade featured a variety of performances by companies, schools, and community groups from both inside and outside the city. Participants marched approximately 3.4 kilometers from the central gate of Yamashita Park to Isezakicho 6-chome, showcasing music, dance, and decorative floats.
