Today we’re watching Heartstopper Season 1, Episodes 3 & 4, and I reached truly unprecedented levels of giggling and kicking my feet... while ALSO experiencing some spectacular emotional lows. The whiplash is real. 😭🍂 Today’s experiments include: 🧪 Tara and Darcy being ADORABLE at the dance 🧪 AND THAT KISS!!! 🌈 🧪 Charlie and Nick having a pretty incredible kiss of their own 👀 🧪 Followed almost immediately by me experiencing crushing disappointment 🧪 Nick Nelson apparently deciding the appropriate response is to show up soaking wet in the rain like he’s in a romance novel 🧪 AND THEN KISSING CHARLIE AGAIN because apparently he wants me dead 🧪 Tao reaching truly spectacular levels of Meddling Mama Hen™ 🧪 Elle doing her best to rein him in 😂 🧪 Isaac flashing that thousand-watt smile again and continuing to be absolutely precious 🧪 Me experiencing approximately 47 different emotions in the span of two episodes Seriously, SO MUCH happened! Watching Tara and Darcy kiss openly at the dance was absolutely wonderful, and then we finally got Nick and Charlie’s first kiss!! Which was everything I wanted it to be... right up until it suddenly wasn’t. 😭 But then Nick shows up at Charlie’s house. IN THE RAIN. Because of course he does. And somehow this ridiculously adorable show has already figured out exactly which buttons to push to turn me into a giggling mess. Meanwhile, Tao continues to take his position as Charlie’s aggressively protective best friend VERY seriously. 😂 I love how much he cares about Charlie, even when Elle occasionally needs to grab the metaphorical leash and remind him that perhaps he could meddle just a tiny bit less. And Isaac remains Isaac. Quietly reading his books, observing the chaos, occasionally looking up and hitting us with that enormous smile. I adore him. I genuinely cannot believe how quickly this show has gotten me. It is sweet and funny and awkward and occasionally heartbreaking, and somehow all of those things are happening practically on top of each other.
