When someone tells me an interface isn't intuitive, I want to understand what feels unfamiliar to them. What people already use and how they work can make a big difference.
I talk about why I liked Windows Phone, how we learn to recognise buttons, and a bookkeeping app whose users were happiest with familiar tables. Then I show an example in Grace: keeping the same rules across views, and when a practical need, like reaching a control with your thumb, can justify an exception.
For me, the useful questions are who I'm building for, what they do every day, and whether the interface behaves the way I've taught them to expect.
