Today in the studio, we’ve prepared a real highlight for you. When SAPPHIRE’s new Nitro+ GPU was released in the Polar edition, we knew immediately: we have to test this thing! We’re talking about the brand-new Sapphire Nitro+ RX 9070 XT PhantomLink Polar. What’s so special about this card? Sapphire is taking the whole thing to the next level. Through the well-known Advanced BTF Alliance, Phantom-Link was born. This makes it officially only the third white GPU on the market to use the GC-HPWR / BTF connector—meaning power is supplied directly through the motherboard. Goodbye cable clutter, this is the future! To make sure this beauty really stands out, we chose the high-quality Jonsbo BO400CG. For the motherboard, we picked the Asus ROG Crosshair X870E Hero BTF for that matching black-and-white look, which fits the matte black of the case perfectly. We think the combination of brilliant white and matte black in this case simply looks exclusive. One point that was particularly close to our hearts again with this build is cable management. We put a lot of value on meticulous routing so that the interior stays as tidy as possible and nothing distracts from the hardware. Although the setup relies on many white accents, we consciously decided to swap the white cables for black ones to match the case and motherboard. This sharp contrast is what gives the build its true "Pro" look and highlights every detail. For cooling, we’re relying on Phanteks D30-120s in regular and reverse, as the design and the gray-white color scheme fit perfectly into the Jonsbo. Technically, we’re using an overpressure concept for the airflow. The radiator is side-mounted, and a total of 6 fans are blasting air in as intake (bottom and side as reversed fans), while regular 120mm fans at the top and rear exhaust the warm air. We really wish more manufacturers would take this bold path and push Advanced BTF forward. Sapphire, we absolutely salute you for this move—CHAPEAU! The PC is designed for a mix of office and gaming performance and performs exceptionally well. The 9070 XT doesn’t just look damn good; in combination with the Ryzen 9850X3D and 64GB of RAM, it also seriously delivers.
