We spoke about seeing the world together. About visiting all these different countries. About going to Iceland. We imagined ourselves standing at the edge of a cliff, overlooking the vast ocean. Feeling truly free, as our worries were swept away by the sound of the wind. Or standing in front of waterfalls. Hearing the sound of the water cascading down and feeling the cold mist on our skin. We wanted to watch the northern lights together. To stay up late.. just so we could see the mesmerizing dance of lights across the sky. (A magical moment we wanted to share together. Side by side.) Remember how we wanted to just get in the car and drive? Anywhere? Just us together, with the open road ahead. With the freedom of choosing our own path, to go anywhere we wanted and to see whatever beauty the world had in store for us. - It's almost hard to believe now that we were once inseperable. And now I realise, that those memories and dreams weren't just about the places we wanted to see, but about the person I wanted to see them with. And though that won't happen, we will always have the memories of what once was. And that fills me with hope. Hope that the future might contain some amazing journeys you have yet to discover.
