Krasnoyarsk City Walk | Exploring the Historic Center of Siberia | 4K

Experience a relaxing 4K walking tour through the historic center of Krasnoyarsk, one of the major cities of Siberia, Russia. This walk begins in Krasnoyarsk’s Historic Quarter on Gorky Street, where some of the city’s surviving wooden architecture can still be seen. Along the way, we pass several historic buildings, including the Kolesnikov Merchant House, the House of Doctor Glantz, the Telеgin Estate buildings, and the Nekrasov Estate — a group of preserved heritage buildings dating mainly from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. From Gorky Street, the route continues toward Mira Avenue, passing the Church of St. John the Baptist before reaching the heart of the city. The walk then follows Mira Avenue past the Administration of the Governor of Krasnoyarsk Krai, the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs representative office, the Photographer sculpture, the historic Gadalov Trading House, and the A.S. Pushkin Drama Theatre. The walk ends at Teatralnaya Square, one of the most recognizable spaces in central Krasnoyarsk. From here, you can see the Krasnoyarsk State Opera and Ballet Theatre, the Apollo sculpture, the city administration building, and the famous Krasnoyarsk “Big Ben” clock tower. The square and surrounding architectural ensemble form an important part of the modern center of the city. This walk offers a glimpse of a different side of Siberia — historic wooden houses, 19th-century merchant architecture, monumental Soviet-era buildings, theaters, public squares, and the everyday atmosphere of central Krasnoyarsk.
