Nino holds the base with a sword, G-57X with a number, Scarecrow with a silence he has been keeping for a very long time. From orbit the warship Thornwake brings a lord who wants one willful bloom. The lock that stops him is buried in his own skull, which means the one thing they must not do is the one thing a soldier does. The war on the sand and the war in the garden turn out to be the same war, and the price of shutting the door is paid in living hands.
