The Märklin Outsider Episode 4: The Märklin System- Going Digital, Part 1

In this episode I discuss the beginning of the Märklin Integrated Digital System in the development of the first micro-chipped locomotives. NOTE: Although I reference Märklin and its 3-Rail AC format, all this digital ease is available through Märklin's DC/2-rail company, Trix. You get almost all the advantages of AC Digital, but in the more popular DC format. The big difference is, with 3-rail you do not have to insulate and isolate as you would in 2 rail/DC format.
