山梨県 西沢渓谷 七ツ釜五段の滝の紅葉（日本の滝100選） / Autumn leaves of Nishizawa Valley ( Yamanashi, Japan )【日本の紅葉絶景！】

西沢渓谷（にしざわけいこく）は、山梨県北部に位置し、美しい滝と淵が連続するＶ字型渓谷で、「森林セラピー基地」「21世紀に残したい日本の自然100選」「平成の名水百選」「森林浴の森100選」「水源の森100選」「新日本観光地100選」「日本の秘境百選」などに選定されており、山梨県を代表する景勝地の一つとなっています。ハイライトは渓流散策遊歩道の最奥地にある「七ツ釜五段の滝」で、この滝自体も「日本の滝100選」に選定されています。 新緑や紅葉の時期が特にオススメで、例年の紅葉時期は10月中旬～11月上旬です。帰路の旧トロッコ道からも滝の一部が見えるなど、大自然を満喫しながらトレッキングできるスポットで、森と水の恵みを体感できる渓谷です。 西沢渓谷へのアクセスは、山梨県と埼玉県を結ぶ国道140号「雁坂トンネル」の南側に位置し、国道脇に「西沢渓谷駐車場」があるほか、「道の駅 みとみ」の駐車場も利用できます。「秘境百選」に選ばれているわりに比較的アクセスの容易なスポットですが、2020年現在、落石や老朽化による遊歩道の修復のため、渓谷のほとんどの区間が通行禁止となっており、「七ツ釜五段の滝」へも行けませんので注意してください。なお、遊歩道は2021年4月に復旧・開通する見込みです。 Nishizawa Valley is located in the northern part of Yamanashi Prefecture. It is a V-shaped valley with a series of beautiful waterfalls and deep pools, and has been selected as a "Forest Therapy Base," "Top 100 Japanese Natural Areas to Leave Behind in the 21st Century," "Top 100 Famous Waterfalls in the Heisei Era," "Top 100 Forests for Forest Bathing," "Top 100 Water Source Forests," "Top 100 New Japan Tourist Attractions," and "Top 100 Unexplored Regions in Japan," among others. It is one of the most representative scenic spots in Yamanashi Prefecture. The highlight is the Nanatsugama 5-step waterfall located at the farthest point of the mountain stream walking trail, which itself has been selected as one of the 100 best waterfalls in Japan. The time of fresh greenery and autumnal leaves is especially recommended, and the usual season for autumn leaves is mid-October to early November.
