We planned one thing… but life had something completely different in store for us! ❤️ This Janmashtami was extra special because my little Kaashi was all set to dress up as Radha Rani and participate in the celebrations. 🌸✨ Kaashi absolutely LOVES dancing, so I prepared her for her dance performance with so much excitement and enthusiasm. We got her ready, dressed her up beautifully, did her makeup and flowers, and she looked absolutely adorable. 🥰 She was happily enjoying the celebration with her little friends, playing, laughing and having fun before the performance. Everything seemed perfect! But just before her turn to dance on stage… she started crying and didn't want to perform. 😭 As a mother, I honestly felt frustrated. I had invested so much time, energy and excitement preparing her. I had imagined her going on stage and dancing happily. I even sat with her on the stage, hoping she would feel comfortable and eventually dance. But she didn't. And somewhere in that moment, I realised something very important about motherhood: I can prepare my child. I can encourage her. I can take her to the stage. But I cannot perform for her. ❤️ She is her own little person with her own emotions, fears and choices. Maybe today wasn't her day. And that's okay. We mothers sometimes plan everything in our heads and imagine how things should happen. But children have their own plans—and motherhood teaches us to slowly let go of our expectations and simply be there for them. There will be many more stages, many more dances and many more opportunities. 🌸 So this Janmashtami, along with celebrating Krishna's birth, I'm also celebrating this little motherhood lesson we learned together. We think something… and something else happens. That's life.
