ABOUT MAX AIR Max Air is one of Nigeria’s well-known airlines, founded in 2008 by businessman Alhaji Dahiru Bara’u Mangal. Headquartered in Kano, it started out mainly with Hajj and charter flights before expanding into domestic routes across cities like Abuja, Lagos, Kano, and Port Harcourt. Over the years, Max Air has had its fair share of ups and downs. The airline has faced several temporary suspensions by the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) due to safety and maintenance concerns, along with frequent flight delays and service issues that have earned it one of the lowest passenger ratings among Nigerian airlines.
