As a Clock Tower series successor, Nightcry takes classic point and click gameplay, adapted to a 3D horror game setting, and puts it aboard a cruise ship where everything is trying to kill you. In this Mothy obscure horror game retrospective, we’re looking at Hifumi Kono’s bizarre crowdfunded horror game, full of ridiculous death scenes, awful glitches, unforgiving “gotcha” moments, and thin story—but the absurdity of it all still somehow makes an entertaining game.
