Michael Jackson - Billie Jean | Ostend, 1997 (2024 Optimized) HQ

INFO: Michael Jackson performing ‘Billie Jean’ 3:06 in Ostend, Belgium at Hippodrome Wellington for 55.000 attendees on September 3rd, 1997. This footage was taken from an audience recording (left side) and (I assume) a recording by a tv crew (far front angle) THOUGHTS: I really like this performance. It has a very melancholic feel to it, due to MJ grieving Princess Diana’s passing. There isn’t a lot of dancing compared to most other shows, but there’s still a decent amount and all of it amazing. I’ve really, really become a late 1997 enthusiast, though I’ve always enjoyed this performance, but now I just enjoy it so much more. Also the 2nd pre-chorus combo 5:47 is so Bad Tour styled and so very awesome. The vocals are extremely beautiful also, imo some of the absolute best from 1997, and tbh of all Billie Jean performances in general. Also the instrumental is so tasty, the drums and guitar sound especially peak. The breakdown is especially good with the tap dancing combo at 10:21. The circle popping at 10:45 (the only other show it’s seen in is Johannesburg) is so cool. The sideglide at 10:57 is so floaty looking, it’s so damn mind boggling. WHAT I DID: Thanks to ‪@VinVonVoom‬ for sending the files. I deinterlaced into 50fps (however the video is 25fps as the HQ angle was already deinterlaced 25fps), color correction, Jumbotron stretching, video mix showing imo the best angles at all times, lighting correction, audio EQ. Generally with these videos I just try to improve upon the original, and try to fix things that bother me the most about the tape. I don’t try to fix every single thing that could be fixed:) SOCIAL MEDIA: Join the K MJ Discord Server!   / discord   If the link doesn’t work, tell me in a comment and I’ll send you a new one Instagram (Teasers, other projects, pictures and stuff like that)   / kmjonyt   Personal Instagram (literally just me, no MJ) https://instagram.com/kaspermonrad?ig...
