Day 35 of the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage begins after a night spent in a temple tsuyadō, a simple shelter for pilgrims. From there, the journey continues through more temples, quiet temple grounds, and one temple that feels almost like a maze, with paths, corners, buildings, and details that make it feel different from the usual stops along the road. This day also leads to Dōgo Onsen, one of Japan’s most famous ancient hot springs and a place often connected with the feeling of Spirited Away. After so many days of walking, visiting a place with this much history feels like stepping into another side of Japan. Day 35 is not only about walking distance. It is about temple spaces, old stories, hot springs, history, and the feeling of moving through places that have been important to people for a very long time. A raw walking journey through Japan, following the Shikoku 88 Temple Pilgrimage one day at a time. 日本の四国遍路を歩く旅を、自然な日記スタイルで記録しています。 #ShikokuPilgrimage #Shikoku88 #88TemplePilgrimage #WalkingJapan #JapanPilgrimage #Ohenro #DogoOnsen #JapaneseTemple #SlowTravelJapan #ConnectedHorizons
