12,000 years ago, people climbed to a small cave in northern Palestine carrying live tortoises, wild cattle and firewood. That night they held what may be the first feast in human history. In this video, you live that night step by step: the Natufian people who were among the first to stop wandering, the cave called Hilazon Tachtit, dozens of tortoises roasted in their shells, and huge wild aurochs brought down by hunters. We look at why a feast was such a powerful tool in the Stone Age, how it could turn strangers into allies, and who the party was actually for: a mysterious woman buried with tortoise shells, an eagle wing and a human foot. Then the story gets bigger, from the giant stone circles of Göbekli Tepe to the theory that the human love of parties may have helped push us toward farming, villages and civilization itself. Then a rival group shows up with spears, and what happens next may explain why civilization exists at all. Let us know in the comments: would you have gone to this party?
