How to Start Hi-Tech Vegetable Farming? || Indo-Israel Centre Haryana || Sabzi ki kheti

Welcome to the Vegetable Excellence Center, Indo-Israel Project at Gharaunda (Haryana), where modern techniques are combined with farmer-friendly practices. In this video, Dr. Reenu Yadav explains how subsidized seedlings are prepared for farmers and the process of booking seedlings for different vegetables such as tomato, capsicum, gourd, bitter gourd, cucumber, and more. She also talks about the cost of seedlings (around ₹1.40 each) and the rates for protected cultivation. The center promotes three main farming methods: open field cultivation following Good Agricultural Practices (GAP), organic farming, and protected cultivation under polyhouses, net houses, and tunnels—especially for crops like tomato, capsicum, cherry tomato, and seedless brinjal. Farmers also get access to weekly and paid training programs, open to both Haryana farmers and those from other states. Practical techniques such as raised beds, mulch sheets, drip irrigation, and fertigation are demonstrated to help farmers achieve efficient and profitable vegetable production.
