I have no idea why he is a challenger, especially with how mediocre his kit is. He would've been better off as a special. It's like nowadays whenever Shadow is seen they just make him a challenger? What sense does that make lmao His projectile is the only item from his kit that does actual damage, and its mini boost gives the same speed as Extreme Gear Sonic's slipstream. Shadow can't interact with his items though, like his Pit Stop has no effect on Shadow. Shadow's boost is very gimmicky, you have to hit all three boosts to gain its full potential, if you miss one, you ain't getting any type of speed. But if you hit all three of the boosts, you almost get an unstable amount of speed. Plus you have to miss out on dashpads and rings to use the boost. His trap I won't lie is the most creative I've seen in a long time, I like its push back mechanic. Overall, still should've been a special character, challenger rarity is a joke nowadays.
