This lacing technique (invented by Autumn Adamme of Dark Garden) is excellent for using in corsets that have very bendy flat steels by the grommets, or otherwise like to twist and bow while you're trying to tighten your corset. The "tennis shoe" or "basket weave" style of lacing above and below the waist result in a tidy chevron look when the corset is completely closed. Inverted loops (inverted bunny ears) at the waistline give you superior control where you need it most, as the waistline holds the greatest tension in the corset. I would not advise this technique however in a corset made of delicate fabric (tulle, thin silk, etc) and/or laced with an abrasive cord, as the friction may result in some superficial damage to the fashion fabric. Corsets featured in this video: The mesh one is the Risqué overbust by Dark Garden. The pink one with turquoise laces is by Starkers Corsets. The beige one with black laces is the "Fierce" corset by Maison Moginot. The red corset with black laces (the one I model at the end) is my custom by Sparklewren. The denim corset with red binding that I use in the tutorial is by Romantasy.
