When I Found You

When I Found You tells a heartfelt story of love, separation, and the passage of time. It begins with a moment of unexpected connection when two souls meet and life suddenly feels brighter, as if everything has fallen into place. Their love feels pure, uplifting, and like a dream come true. But life doesn’t always allow love to stay. Circumstances force them apart after a brief meeting during an exhibition that ends too soon. They go their separate ways, each sailing on different paths across a vast world, losing all contact. Even with distance and time, her love never fades. She carries his memory through the years, holding onto hope while life continues to move forward. She searches for him in a world too large to navigate, never giving up the feeling that they were meant to meet again. After 14 years, fate finally brings her closer to the truth but the reunion she longed for is bittersweet. She learns that he had passed away years earlier, long after they last saw each other. This song reflects on enduring love, longing, loss, and the way some connections remain forever in the heart, even when life takes them in different directions Lyrics : When I Found You I was searching through the silence, Walking roads I didn’t know, Every face just felt like passing, Every heart a distant glow. Then I saw you in a moment, Like the stars had aligned, In your eyes I found a feeling I had never felt inside. Time slowed down when you were near, Everything just felt so clear… Chorus When I found you, life was shining, Like a dream I couldn’t hide, Every second felt like forever, With your hand right next to mine. Deep inside my heart was glowing, Something pure I never knew, It was more than just a feeling— It was love when I found you. Every laugh and every whisper, Every moment felt so right, I was wishing on the hours, Begging days to hold on tight. In your arms I felt a fire, In your soul I felt my own, Like we were two hearts together, Finally finding home. Never felt this way before, You became what I was searching for… Chorus When I found you, life was shining, Like a dream I couldn’t hide, Every second felt like forever, With your hand right next to mine. Deep inside my heart was glowing, Something pure I never knew, It was more than just a feeling— It was love when I found you. Years went by like drifting shadows, But your memory stayed the same, Every road I walked was leading Back to where we shared a flame. Then I found you in the silence, But the world had pulled you away, Left with words I couldn’t tell you, Left with all we couldn’t say. When I found you, time stood broken, Like a dream that slipped too far, Now I’m holding onto echoes Of the way things used to be. Though the night feels so much colder, And your light I cannot see, In my heart you’re still forever, A part of everything in me. I wrote your name out in the sand, Hoping you’d see it from above, As the waves came close to hold it, Like a whisper of our love. I watched the sun fall on the ocean, Painted gold across the blue, And I wondered in that moment If that light could reach to you. Somewhere in another world now, Where the pain has slipped away, I hope you feel my heart still with you, Even as the skies turn gray. ’Cause you never really left me, You still live in all I do, In every breath, in every heartbeat— I still carry you If it resonates with you, you’re not alone ✨ Credits Written by: CHELIN DGM Composition & Creative Direction: CHELIN DGM Instrumentation & Sound Design: Piano, saxophone, violin, flute electric guitar , cool Jazz and more ….(selected and directed by CHELIN DGM) Arrangement & Production Support: AI-assisted tools (used for structure, refinement, and musical arrangement) 🌙 Note This project was created through my own ideas and emotional writing, with AI tools used as creative support to help shape and develop the final arrangement.
