ESG reporting has made organisations more disciplined about evidence, ownership and accountability. Yet when it comes to the “S”, including people, inclusion and organisational culture, that same level of scrutiny can be harder to see. ESG, social impact and organisational culture often sit across different teams, with their own measures, priorities and reporting cycles. Employees, however, experience the whole organisation. Decisions about budgets, recruitment, progression, workload and authority can affect both internal culture and external impact. In this conversation, Hannah Awonuga, Founder and CEO of Illume Executive Consulting, is joined by Mona Vadher FRSA, Illume’s Strategic Operations Lead, to explore what culture and inclusion can learn from ESG reporting. They discuss why the social dimension of ESG is often treated as difficult to measure, how organisations can connect external commitments with internal employee experience, and what leaders need if reporting is going to produce genuine accountability. What they cover: ✓ Why ESG, social impact and organisational culture are often managed separately ✓ What gets missed when these areas are measured in silos ✓ Why the “S” in ESG can feel harder to define and govern ✓ What organisations can measure across recruitment, pay, progression and retention ✓ Why organisations need both quantitative data and qualitative evidence ✓ How external social impact connects with internal employee experience ✓ Why purpose-led organisations must still examine their internal culture ✓ What ESG reporting can teach leaders about ownership and accountability ✓ How Cultural Governance can help organisations treat culture as a capability Part of Inclusion Re-engineered, Illume Executive Consulting’s monthly series exploring what it takes to build inclusive cultures by embedding inclusion into leadership, governance and organisational systems. → Work with us: https://www.illumeexecutiveconsulting...
