Switzerland Gets Wilder With Every Turn | Locarno to Foroglio Scenic Drive 4K

Join me for a beautiful scenic drive through southern Switzerland, starting in Locarno and heading deep into the mountains of Ticino toward Foroglio, one of the most picturesque stone villages in the Swiss Alps. The journey begins in Locarno, a charming Swiss town near Lake Maggiore. From here, we leave the city behind and travel into the beautiful Vallemaggia, following the mountain roads toward the remote Bavona Valley (Val Bavona). As we continue deeper into the valley, the landscape becomes increasingly dramatic. Towering mountains, steep rocky slopes, traditional stone buildings, and the peaceful atmosphere of the Swiss countryside make this journey a wonderful way to discover a different side of Switzerland. The highlight of this drive is our arrival in Foroglio, a tiny historic village surrounded by spectacular Alpine scenery. Driving right up to the village, we are greeted by an incredible sight: the famous Cascata di Foroglio waterfall, cascading down a massive rock face above the traditional stone houses. Seeing this beautiful old village and its impressive waterfall together is a truly unforgettable experience. Foroglio is one of those places that reminds you why Switzerland is such a remarkable country. Hidden among the mountains, far from the atmosphere of busy cities, it offers an extraordinary combination of nature, history, and timeless Alpine charm. At the end of the video, I've also included a short additional driving segment showing part of my departure from Minusio, giving you another glimpse of the beautiful Locarno area.
