Toronto 🇨🇦 Spring Walk | Wellington St W: Strachan Ave to St. Lawrence Market, 4K

Experience an early spring walk across downtown Toronto, starting near Queen Street West & Strachan Avenue and following Wellington Street east toward the historic St. Lawrence Market area. This walk begins at Queen Street West & Strachan Avenue, near the western edge of downtown. From there, the route heads south on Strachan Avenue before turning onto Wellington Street West. Following Wellington Street West, the walk passes through the downtown west side and continues toward Spadina Avenue, moving from a quieter residential and mixed-use area into Toronto’s central downtown streets. After crossing Spadina Avenue, the route continues east along Wellington Street West toward the Entertainment District and Financial District. Along the way, the walk passes important downtown intersections and landmarks, including Bathurst Street, Portland Street, Blue Jays Way, John Street, David Pecaut Square, University Avenue, York Street, Bay Street, and Yonge Street. This section captures the transition from west downtown streets to the office towers and public spaces of Toronto’s core. After crossing Yonge Street, Wellington Street West becomes Wellington Street East. The route then continues toward Berczy Park, one of Toronto’s most recognizable small urban parks, located near the Gooderham Building, also known as the Flatiron Building. The walk finishes along Front Street East near George Street, close to the St. Lawrence Market area and some of Toronto’s most historic downtown streets.
