United A320 EMERGENCY Return to Chicago O'Hare - Possible Bird Strike!

Listen to the Air Traffic Control (ATC) audio as a United Airlines Airbus A320 flight UA2481 declares an emergency and returns to Chicago O'Hare International Airport (ORD) shortly after takeoff. The pilots reported a possible bird strike shortly after departing runway 29R on a flight to Syracuse (SYR) on Sunday, March 2nd, 2025. Hear the calm professionalism of the flight crew as they communicate with ATC, stop their climb at 5000 feet, and safely return the Airbus A320 with 129 passengers and 5 crew to ORD approximately 20 minutes after departure. Fortunately, the aircraft landed safely, and passengers were rebooked on a replacement aircraft.
