Here i have a Makita battery with the double flashing light lockout. It neither works in a tool, nor will it charge. The battery is not that old and is a 5ah 1850B. ( I believe this means 18 v and the 50 is for 5ah). I watched as many videos on the interweb but still it proved troublesome as you will see..... A simple piece of code was the problem in the end. I downloaded the Open Battery information from: https://github.com/mnh-jansson/open-b.... Visual code studio from visual code and python from python. I will make a short video with all the steps to help you carry out these tasks easily shortly. I hope this helps./ All the best and thanks for watching. Please comment, like and subscribe. Many thanks. Jack In this video, we explore the possibility of repairing a Makita battery using Arduino, a popular microcontroller platform. If your Makita battery is flashing left to right and won't charge, you may be wondering if there's a way to revive it. By leveraging the capabilities of Arduino and programming languages like Python, we can potentially access and modify the battery's internal settings, including open battery information. Using a combination of Arduino and VSC, we'll delve into the process of diagnosing and repairing the battery, providing a step-by-step guide on how to overcome common issues like a Makita battery that won't charge. Whether you're a seasoned DIY enthusiast or just looking to breathe new life into your trusty power tools, this video aims to provide valuable insights and practical solutions for repairing your Makita battery with the help of Arduino. 0:00 Tackling a Dead Makita Battery 1:01 Building the Arduino Controller 1:43 Connecting the Software 6:12 Troubleshooting Connection Errors 15:14 Successful Data Retrieval 21:19 The Battery Is Unlocked
