Why Does DC Keep Failing?

DC had everything it needed to build the biggest superhero universe in Hollywood: Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Aquaman, and decades of successful movies behind them. But after Man of Steel launched a new interconnected universe in 2013, DC spent the next decade changing direction. From Batman v Superman and Justice League to the Snyder Cut, Black Adam, The Flash, and eventually the end of the DCEU, Warner Bros. struggled to establish exactly what its cinematic universe was supposed to be. Now, James Gunn and Peter Safran are starting over with a new DC Universe. So what actually went wrong with the DCEU—and has DC finally figured out how to build a cinematic universe? This video looks at the history of DC on film, the rise and fall of the DCEU, Zack Snyder's original direction, Warner Bros.' constant course corrections, and the new DCU beginning with Superman. #superman #batman #dc #dccomics #dcuniverse #dcmovies #wonderwoman #jamesgunn #zacksnyder #movie #movies #cinema #comics #superheroes #superheromovies #fiction #action #henrycavill #benaffleck #galgadot #greenlantern #lanterns #supergirl
