(4K) Snowbirds Flyover CN Tower and Downtown Toronto | Toronto Islands

Hello everyone! Welcome to the video! Presenting the Canadian Forces Snowbirds and a special flyby to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the CN Tower. The Canadian Forces (CF) Snowbirds were in town finishing up the 77th edition of the Canadian International Air Show. On Monday, September 7th it was announced that on Tuesday, September 8th, ahead of their planned flyover the Michael VandenBos Public School in Whitby, Ontario, the team would do a flyby the CN Tower to help celebrate the 50th anniversary of the opening of the CN Tower at around 1245 local. ‘SNOWBIRD 1’ flight of 9 took off out of Toronto Pearson Int’l shortly after 1240 local and made straight towards Toronto City Billy Bishop where Tower approved three orbits around the Tower. Success! Afterwards, the team followed the shoreline east and made way to Whitby for the flyover. And as a special surprise (nothing that I knew of) the team made their way back west on the shoreline and were approved a low approach over RWY 26 at Toronto City Billy Bishop. 400 feet overhead. Just awesome!! I do owe it to my friend who called me to chat and catch up during that time which kind of held me at my place or else I’d have missed that awesome last flyby.
