What is true? In this video essay, I take a deep dive into Sidney Lumet's 1957 masterpiece 12 Angry Men, starring Henry Fonda, Lee J. Cobb, and Martin Balsam, and explore the fragility of truth, the power of reasonable doubt, and how easily our beliefs can be shaped by our own emotions and prejudices. Through the twelve jurors locked inside one room, the film asks a question that feels more relevant than ever: how do we know what is actually true when we're surrounded by information, opinions, and people who are certain they're right? And perhaps more importantly, would we really have the courage to question what everyone else believes?
