Episode 1: Three Days Serving the Vanderboom Family | Servant of the Lake

I've entered the Vanderboom estate as a maid with one simple assignment: three days of servitude. How bad could it possibly be? At first, life at the estate seems surprisingly normal. The family may be wealthy enough that Aldous Vanderboom expects someone else to feed and dress him, but that's hardly supernatural. I'm the maid. Who am I to judge? So I get to work. There are rooms to tidy, meals to prepare, and an entire household to get ready for some very special guests. Alexandra Vanderboom and William Vanderboom will soon be arriving, and there's something strangely unsettling about the way everyone reacts to their names. But surely that's nothing to worry about. I continue diligently completing my tasks as we prepare the estate for their arrival, trying not to read too much into the growing sense that something isn't quite right. Finally, everything is ready. There's only one thing left to do: raise the Vanderboom family crest and welcome our mysterious guests.
