Nobody Suspected Him for 17 Years. Until His 2nd Wife Fell on Their Anniversary Hike ------ Harold Henthorn was a soft-spoken Colorado "fundraiser" with a doctor for a wife. He was married twice. Both of his wives, Lynn and Toni, were lost on remote Colorado ground with him as the only witness. In nineteen ninety-five, Lynn died when a Jeep slipped off its jacks on a dark mountain highway. It was ruled an accident, the file closed in about a week, and Harold collected six hundred thousand dollars in life insurance. Seventeen years later, on their twelfth wedding anniversary, his second wife Toni fell from a cliff in Rocky Mountain National Park, with millions in policies she never knew existed. On September 29, 2012, a dispatcher listened to a CPR call that did not sound right. Then rangers found a park map in his car with a pink X on the exact spot. A National Park Service agent began pulling the thread, and it led back to Lynn. A jury reached its verdict in 2015. But one wife's file is still marked undetermined, and nobody has ever been charged in it. This is the true story of Harold Henthorn, the husband who spent seventeen years making sure nobody looked at him. Was Lynn's file closed too early, and who failed her?
