I'm a 42-year-old Japanese woman, and my husband is American. In today's vlog, we visit the driver's license center as my husband tries to convert his U.S. driver's license to a Japanese one. I also share what happens after your spouse visa renewal is approved. Since 2025, the knowledge test required to convert a foreign driver's license to a Japanese license has become much more difficult. There are no official past exam questions available, which makes it especially challenging. Unfortunately, my husband didn't pass this time, but I think he did an amazing job considering how difficult it is to know what to study. He'll have to take the test again, and next time we're planning to buy a Japanese study guide, translate it into English, and study from that.
