VBPD Candlelight Vigil for Fallen Officers Girvin and Reese: February 25, 2025

First responders from across Virginia and the seven cities, gathered at the Fourth Precinct for a private candlelight vigil to honor the lives of VBPD officers Cameron Girvin and Christopher Reese. Standing shoulder to shoulder in a sea of candlelight, we were reminded of the light both Cameron and Christopher shared in life with those who had the honor of knowing them and serving alongside them. We are grateful for our first responder family who is feeling this loss deeply. The unwavering support we have felt is immeasurable.
