Tokyo → Chikuma → Okinawa | Exploring Japan & Freediving With Humpback Whales

From bustling Tokyo, to peaceful Chikuma, to tropical Okinawa. Along the way we ate incredible food, explored temples and neighborhoods, soaked in onsens surrounded by snow, visited snow monkeys and a strawberry farm, and experienced the incredible hospitality of rural Japan. Okinawa brought a whole new adventure—days on the water with friends, coral reef diving, and the unforgettable experience of **freediving with humpback whales**. We’re especially grateful to the people we met along the way who welcomed us, shared their food and culture, and gave us a glimpse into everyday life in Japan.
