Lights Out “The Passage Beyond” originally aired on June 25, 1951, and stars Stella Andrew, Ralph Clanton, Monica Lang, Byron Russell, and Sherry Bennett.
Rod and Milly Turner arrive at an old ancestral mansion hoping for a peaceful stay, but they soon discover that the house is haunted by a terrifying legend. Night after night, the ghost of Lady Anne is seen descending the grand staircase, clutching a knife before disappearing into a hidden passage where, years earlier, she murdered her cruel and domineering husband. The apparition's eerie ritual has frightened generations of the family's descendants, who believe the restless spirit still guards the house.
When Rod begins showing an interest in Trix, a visiting friend of his wife, the ghostly manifestations become more frequent and increasingly threatening. As tensions mount within the household, it appears that Lady Anne's spirit is determined to punish anyone who repeats the betrayal and violence that once stained the family estate. The living soon find themselves caught between old secrets and supernatural vengeance, uncertain whether the haunting is merely a warning—or the beginning of another tragedy.
One Step Beyond "The Dead Part of the House” originally aired on March 17, 1959, and stars Philip Abbott, Joanne Linville, Mimi Gibson, and Philip Ahn.
Widower Paul Burton moves into his sister Minna's large Victorian home with his young daughter, Ann, hoping to begin a new chapter after the death of his wife. Delighted to have a room of her own, Ann soon begins talking about three new playmates who spend their days playing with her in the upstairs nursery. The adults assume the little girl is simply using her imagination—or pretending that her dolls have come to life.
As Ann's attachment to her mysterious companions grows stronger, strange occurrences throughout the house begin to alarm her father and aunt. They eventually uncover the tragic history of the nursery, where three young girls died many years earlier under heartbreaking circumstances. Realizing Ann's invisible friends may be more than childhood fantasy, they race to protect her before the spirits persuade her to join them forever.
Released in 1947, Dick Tracy Meets Gruesome stars Ralph Byrd as detective Dick Tracy, Boris Karloff as the sinister Gruesome, and Anne Gwynne as Tess Trueheart. It was the fourth and final entry in RKO's classic Dick Tracy film series.
Recently released from prison, the ruthless criminal Gruesome (Boris Karloff) stumbles upon a revolutionary nerve gas capable of temporarily paralyzing its victims, making them appear dead. Realizing its criminal potential, Gruesome and his gang use the gas to stage a daring series of bank robberies, leaving witnesses helpless while they escape with the loot.
Assigned to the baffling case, Detective Dick Tracy (Ralph Byrd) begins connecting the robberies to the mysterious disappearance of the scientist who invented the gas. With the help of Tess Trueheart (Anne Gwynne) and his loyal partner Pat Patton, Tracy follows a trail of clues that leads him into a dangerous confrontation with the cunning mastermind.
Blending classic gothic atmosphere with psychological suspense, “The Passage Beyond” is a chilling ghost story about jealousy, betrayal, and a curse that refuses to die.
