Will Saruman Be in The Hunt for Gollum? Lee, Digital Resurrection and Faces Middle-earth Has Lost!

Christopher Lee has appeared in every single Middle-earth film made since 2001. Every one. The Fellowship of the Ring. The Two Towers. The Hobbit trilogy. And then, in December 2024, nine years after he died, his voice turned up in an animated Lord of the Rings movie that most people assumed he had no part in at all. So when a new live-action Middle-earth film was announced, The Hunt for Gollum, set to open in December 2027, the question was inevitable. Is Saruman going to be in it? And if he is, then how? Christopher Lee died in June 2015. There is no version of this where he simply walks onto a soundstage in Wellington.
