🌹 Before the dawn comes, the night does not know what is about to happen. The Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary is a celebration of a birth that quietly marked the beginning of something extraordinary in salvation history. Mary's birth points us toward Jesus. She would become the Mother of the Saviour, the woman whose humble “yes” would play a unique role in God's plan of salvation. In this Feast of the Nativity of Mary homily, we reflect on Mary as a sign of hope, grace, obedience and God's faithfulness. Her story teaches us an important lesson: God often prepares great things long before we recognize them. Mary's birth was not accompanied by worldly power or fame. Yet God was preparing a woman who would carry His Son into the world. This can change the way we look at our own lives. The person you overlook may have a purpose you cannot see. The ordinary day you consider insignificant may be part of God's plan. The small act of love you perform today may touch a life in ways you will never know. The Feast of Mary's Nativity therefore becomes an invitation to trust the God who works quietly and patiently. As we celebrate the birth of Mary, let us pray for the grace to become like her: ❤️ Humble enough to listen. ❤️ Faithful enough to trust. ❤️ Courageous enough to say yes. ❤️ Loving enough to serve. ❤️ Open enough to allow God to work through our lives. Mary's birth points beyond Mary herself—to Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. 🌹 Our Lady of the Nativity, pray for us. 🌹 Mary, Mother of Jesus, lead us closer to your Son. May this beautiful feast renew our hope and remind us that God is always preparing a way, even when we cannot yet see it.
