🍂 Your Spirit May Rise With the Wind Today | Medieval Fantasy Music for Study & Focus

In clear daylight, the grassy slope of a high hill descends from the upper left toward the lower right, above wide fields and distant mountains. The sky fills more than half the view in deep, clear blue, deepest in the broad expanse at the upper right. A long band of white clouds with ragged edges stretches diagonally from the upper left toward the centre. Heaped white clouds line the whole horizon above the mountains, with small, thin wisps farther to the right. At the far left, a few trees have grey-brown trunks and almost bare branches reaching upward and to the right. Orange leaves remain here and there on the branches. Pointed orange and russet leaves hang in the air, gathered most closely near the trees in the upper left, with others scattered around Everglow and above the fields and grass. Blue mountain ranges lie layer upon layer along the whole horizon, with gently rising peaks. Below the hill, gold, light brown and green fields form a wide patchwork, divided by clumps of orange, red and green trees. Pointed dark-green trees mingle among them, and the distant landscape softens into blue. On the right, a pale blue river winds from right of centre toward the edge of the picture, with groups of trees along both sides. Long dry grass covers the foreground slope in pale gold and cream. Its curving blades lean mostly to the right in broad waves, with blue-grey shadows between them. There is no need to hurry. For a little while, it is enough to be here. In the left third of the picture, Everglow is alone on the grassy hillside, seen from behind and facing out toward the fields and the far mountains. A thin braid circles the crown of her head. Her very long silver-white hair flows out to the right, as if in the wind. Her long dark green cloak has a short shoulder cape edged in gold embroidery. The cloak billows wide to the right, as if in the wind, with a broad band of gold embroidery along its hem. Her arms are held slightly out from her sides, her bare hands open at hip height. Long white sleeves end in green-and-gold cuffs. Her lute is slung on her back, its round body in the middle of her back and its neck and pegbox rising diagonally above her left shoulder. The wood is golden-brown, and the body has a decorated round soundhole. A brown strap runs diagonally from her left shoulder to her right hip. A brown boot shows beneath the cloak. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ My soul is awakened, my spirit is soaring In the speaker’s words, you encounter a soul’s awakening and a spirit already soaring. You can imagine that experience from within: your spirit waking, lifting and rising with the wind. In a reading or study session, you may recognise that wakefulness in your curiosity. You can attend to a thought with lively interest while imagining your spirit lifted and carried upward. With this music, you can spend a while with the feeling of being awake to your own inner movement. You may let your spirit wake and soar with the wind. This is the first line of Anne Brontë’s poem "Lines Composed in a Wood on a Windy Day", on page 125 of Poems by Currer, Ellis, and Acton Bell (1846).
