Reservation Redemption – Interview with Soy Redthunder, Colville Tribal Elder and friend of Chief

Keith “Soy” Redthunder is a member of the Colville Tribes and a descendant of Chief Joseph. A longtime community leader, veteran, and cultural advocate, Redthunder has dedicated much of his life to preserving Native traditions and strengthening connections within the Indigenous community. For more than 25 years, he served as the voice of the Colville Reservation’s annual Fourth of July celebration and was president of the Nespelem Drum and Feather Club. He has also been involved in honoring the legacy of Chief Joseph and preserving Nez Perce history and culture. Redthunder has attended the Native American powwow at Washington State Penitentiary in Walla Walla for many years, supporting incarcerated Native people and helping maintain cultural and spiritual connections inside the prison. His presence represents the importance of culture, community, and tradition in the journey toward healing and redemption. #indigenous #documentary #inspiration #film
