Weathering the Storm | Chickens, Wind & Desert Weather - Ep. 07.

In Episode #7 of Our Desert Acre, the weather takes a turn. Strong wind, dark skies, and an approaching desert storm send us outside to check on the flock and make sure the chickens are ready to ride it out safely. We take a look at how the birds react to the changing weather, get everyone settled in, and talk about some of the little things we watch for when conditions shift quickly here in the Arizona desert. Storms are not an everyday event out here, so when they roll through, the whole property seems to change. The temperature drops, the wind picks up, the chickens get a little more active, and suddenly the quiet desert feels very different. This episode is a simple look at one of those days — checking the coop, watching the sky, keeping an eye on the flock, and enjoying a little break from the usual desert heat.
