Biking to Work - Oct 13 2026 7:53am

The Province was going to begin removing bike lanes on Bloor Street in Etobicoke on this day. Nobody knew exactly when it was supposed to start. As a result, the whole day was filled with tension. It's a horrible feeling to know that your Provincial Government does not care about your safety and that dozens of your neighbours would cheer them on as they made life more dangerous for you. Word got around that it would begin in the evening with the blocking of the lanes, but that didn't get rid of the lump in my stomach. The bike to work was a bit wet, but not too cold. There were still lots of people on bikes. Car traffic seemed heavier than usual, but nothing catastrophic by any means. I was behind on my usual schedule of uploading videos because I wanted to get stuff out there refuting all the claims about congestion and nobody using the bike lanes. It's been a very stupid week and there's no end in sight.
