'Walang nagbago': UP Diliman students renew calls for accountability

UP Diliman students renew their calls for accountability over alleged corruption and government inaction during a walkout protest on Friday, September 18, 2026. UP Diliman University Student Council representative Emi Alfonso said many of the issues raised by students in previous protests remain unresolved. “Ngayon, 2026 na po, pero malinaw na ni isang bagay ay walang nagbago,” Alfonso said. “Ang mga flood control, isang taon na nating sinisingil sa gobyerno. Ngunit hanggang ngayon, anong nangyari sa mga infrastrukturang ito?” she added. Alfonso also raised concerns over university facilities, asking: “Anong nangyari sa CAL Faculty Center, sa Abelardo Hall? Anong nangyari sa Main Library?” She also questioned how the administration holds officials involved in corruption allegations accountable.“Sa isang taon na tayo ay kumilos, wala pa ring nakukulong at wala pa ring napapanagot,” Alfonso said. She urged fellow “Iskolar ng Bayan” to sustain their calls for justice and accountability.
