Oran × Andalusia | The Imaginary Flamenco Jazz Album | جاز جزائري بروح الفلامنكو

Imagine Oran and Almería sharing the same street in 1977: fishermen grilling sardines on the sand, a basket lowered from a balcony, mint tea on a rooftop while the August fair glows across the bay. The Third Shore is a city that never existed, built from two real ones, and this is its soundtrack: 1 hour 42 minutes of calm Wahrani × Flamenco Jazz for deep focus, reading and slow evenings. 🎼 Behind the Mood Wahrani refrains, short, insistent and falling gently home, meet the Andalusian cadence that lands on a bright major chord. Oud and nylon-string flamenco guitar weave a quiet arpeggio stream like slow water; gasba reed flute, violin, accordion, flugelhorn and piano take turns singing over walking upright bass and soft brushes. Maqams Hijaz, Bayati, Nahawand, Kurd and Saba keep the colour moving while the pulse stays steady. 🖼 Visual Production The visual world of this project was developed through extensive research into Oran and Almería in the late 1970s: everyday life, clothing, work, housing and the photographic habits of the time. AI image tools were used as part of the reconstruction process, after which the selected images were edited, color-balanced and matched to build one coherent QOOQON world. AI is a production tool within the process; the research, direction, selection and final visual decisions are human-led. 🎹 Music Production The melodies in this project were composed by me. AI tools were used during parts of the exploration and development process, after which the material was substantially reshaped in FL Studio through arrangement, editing, instrumentation, structure and production decisions.
